2022. a snapshot.
2022 has been another challenging year for everyone.
Like many, this year has thrown a lot at me but I know that I am starting 2023 a stronger person for it. Despite this and reflecting on the life my music has been given by performers, I have been bowled over with the generosity and jaw-dropping talent of those I have collaborated with in 2022. My music has reached further than ever before and that's all thanks to you, performed by friends old and new.
Thank You
Thank you to all my friends, family and followers who have supported, loved and inspired me. As a quick whistle-stop tour through the year, here I share some of the highlights and celebrate the supporters and collaborators who have shown their love in 2022...
Here’s to a successful 2023, filled with love, laughter and music-making!
Much love, Nx

The Choir of Royal Holloway is the only university choir in the UK to offer free concerts every week during term-time. The innovative programmes have included themes of seasons, festivals, single composers, one historical period or event, concerts of solos or ensembles, organ recitals as well as everything else in-between.
Enjoy a festive evening at one of the grandest addresses in the capital, Apsley House. Step inside its glittering interiors and delight in carols performed in the Waterloo Gallery.
Come and join us for an enchanting evening of festive music at St Mary's Church, Easebourne. The programme will include Anthony Bolton's 'A Garland of Carols' for Upper Voices and harp. The Choir of Royal Holloway will perform this and other Christmas music led by Rupert Gough and accompanied by Cecily Beer on the harp.
Robert Schumann’s iconic song cycle on a woman’s life and love, Frauenliebe und-Leben, sung by Lucy Crowe is interwoven with Nathan James Dearden’s specially commissioned responses of a beloved friend, Nicky Spence (“one of the most engaging and communicative singers around” Guardian). The concert, curated by pianist Andrew Matthews-Owen (“an immaculate accompanist” BBC Music magazine), also features songs by LGBTQ+ composers and poets, including Leonard Bernstein, Benjamin Britten, Aaron Copland, Jonathan Dove, Nikita Gill, Jennifer Higdon, Francis Poulenc, and Ned Rorem.
