The III International Competition of Composers “New Music Generation 2021”

This is a unique event in the world’s space of music and culture — as evidenced by 213 applications (scores) from 35 countries from all over the world: Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech, France, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldavia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the USA, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan.

It is especially symbolic that the competition is held in Nur-Sultan city (25-29th October 2021) within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The very fact of holding such an event speaks of strengthening the authority of our country in the world community!

The competition is distinguished by the breadth of the spectrum of the presented directions. The anonymity of the participants (scores under mottos instead of full names) ensures impartiality and objectivity in the consideration of works. This competition is intended to become an impetus, a powerful impuls for the development of not only individuals, but also the entire great stratum of culture.

Composer’s art is an eternal value, the face of the cultural heritage of mankind! This is a millennial world legacy. And this competition is designed to support and discover new talents as much as possible.

The competition pays special attention to contemporary classical music — the art that is a direct continuation and evolutionary development of the classical music. Precisely because contemporary music in its development reflects the key milestones in the development of the entire civilization!

This year the most authoritative jury is present: Ivan Fedele (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome) and Alessandro Solbiati (Conservatorio G.Verdi di Milano) — the drivers of new music development in Italy, the iconic personalities of the European avant-garde; Yuri Kasparov (Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory) — one of the pillars of the great Russian school of composition, revered both at home and abroad; Martin Loridan — a French composer of new generation, one of the leaders of new music; Ernest Hoetzl и Jin Baek — well- esteemed and prominent conductors, professors and educators.
