live: Pedair Cân o Forgannwg, a digital series

Among other things, this summer should have seen the premiere and Welsh tour of the orchestral version of my 'Pedair Cân o Forgannwg', a collection of folk song arrangments close to my heart from my home county, commissioned by Jeremy Huw Williams and the Welsh Chamber Orchestra.

This was a set of Welsh folk songs that I originally arranged for baritone and piano in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Vale of Glamorgan Festival of Music in 2019, and with heartfelt thanks for the support of Acapela Studios and the Welsh Music Guild, this set of songs has been brought to life again with a digital recording by Jeremy and pianist Paula Fan before lockdown.

For a smidge of near-normality, starting Sunday, 9 August 2020, I would like to invite you to virtually join me every Sunday throughout August at 3pm for 5-minutes, to hear one of these songs performed by Jeremy and Paula and recorded at Acapela Studios (Cardiff, Wales).

The full listing of this short series can be found here: https://nathanjamesdearden.com/live

Commissioned by Jeremy Huw Williams, these songs were recorded at Acapela Studios (Cardiff, Wales) in early 2020, in recognition of being awarded the inaugural Acapela Studio Award for the promotion of exceptional Welsh composers, presented by the Welsh Music Guild.
