Nathan joins the 2020 Music Team for National Youth Choir of Wales

Ahead of Nathan's commission for National Youth Choir of Wales and their director Tim Rhys-Evans MBE, he has been invited on-board as a member of National Youth Arts Wales Music Team for the choir's 2020 summer digital residency.

Through the week residency, Nathan will host a series of online sessions for members to gain an insight into the art of lyric writing and how composers set text.

Composer and former NYCW member, Nathan James Dearden, has been commissioned by National Youth Arts Wales to write a brand-new piece for the Choir in 2021 and he wants to get YOU involved in the process. In a series of interactive sessions, Nathan will work with NYCW members through a series of lyric writing hacks and how to best express your thoughts in song, with a view to generating text that can be used as the basis of the new commission.
